Before I took Sam Oven's course, I was (and still am) a clinical scientist by training, but an entrepreneur at heart. As a scientist, I have always wanted to use my research to directly help people. However, there is an inevitable time lag when translating research into practice. So, most scientists do not get to see how their research changes patient's lives and improves population health. For some people, this can be discouraging! In my case, I explored the business world with the hope of finding something more fulfilling. Now, I become a consultant.
