Sam Oven's Consulting Accelerator | Review

Today I am going to review Sam Oven's Consulting Accelerator. This review is for informational purposes.

Before I took Sam Oven's course, I was (and still am) a clinical scientist by training, but an entrepreneur at heart. As a scientist, I have always wanted to use my research to directly help people. However, there is an inevitable time lag when translating research into practice. So, most scientists do not get to see how their research changes patient's lives and improves population health.

For some people, this can be discouraging!

In my case, I explored the business world with the hope of finding something more fulfilling. Now, I become a consultant. I can offer direct help to people with real problems. Well, I did not figure all out myself though. I tried many different things to establish my business from attending free business workshops to paid business consulting services. However, Sam Oven's Consulting Accelerator by far provided the most useful information and practical insights I needed to become a consultant.

Before taking Sam Oven's course, I had always lied to myself that I was an open-minded person; but after the course, I have upgraded myself. I am no longer K 1.0. My motivation in life is to become a better version of myself everyday.

Sam Oven's course is a 6-week program that teaches you step-by-step how to start a six-figure consulting business, regardless of whether or not you have prior business experience. The program has produced many successful consultants with high-paying clients (more than 400 six-figure earners, when I last checked).

In addition to the 6-week training program, you will get a set of workbooks, lifetime access to private group, and weekly Q&A calls.

Content 

In the beginning (Weeks 1-2), Sam covers the foundation of business from the importance of having the right mindset in business to different consulting business types. Information covered in weeks 1-2 is really important, especially for students with little business background. People who already have solid background in business (ie have picked their niche and crafted their MVO) may find the information not helpful.




In week 3, Sam focuses on sales. The content in this module is very thorough and highly organized. In addition to many sales call examples, he also provides a page script to show students how to make an effective sales call. In this module, students are taught to craft a script designed for their chosen niche using Sam's customized script.



In Week 4, Sam teaches how to attract and convert clients using organic and paid attraction methods as well as how to execute your sales plan. Using a lead generating funnel, he teaches students how to scale a consulting business into six figures.

In Week 5, Sam teaches step-by-step how to set up a full campaign using Facebook Ads. As a beginner, I found this very helpful. I did not need to google and find pieces of information here and there and then combine and organize them in a right order. Because Sam did all the hard work. When it comes to Facebook Ads, not a lot of people understand Facebook's algorithm and work with the algorithm to increase their revenue. In this module, Sam emphasizes the importance of this algorithm. Students are able to use his strategy and follow directions.



In Week 6, Sam provides useful information on legal documents necessary to start a consulting business. He also teaches how to build your platform, set up credit-card payments, and set up marketing automation. He also provides documents (e.g., terms of service, privacy policy, earnings disclaimer, terms and conditions, non disclosure, etc) for your website that students can use to protect themselves legally. Sam also adds Week 7 and DM bonus, which I have not had the chance to listen. But the first six-week is the core content of Sam's Consulting Accelerator.

Lifetime access to a private Facebook group
In Sam's private group, I get useful information from his successful students. The community is actively engaged. Students regularly post their questions and get answered to their questions. Students regularly post their success stories and share their lessons learnt from their mistakes.

Weekly Q & A calls
Sam arranges a live weekly Q&A call where students can ask their questions and get answered from experts and his team.

Conclusion:
The course cost me $2000. The content alone is worth more than $10k and access to his Facebook group is worth $2000. Especially for beginners like me, the value can exceed $12k. I am very grateful for joining his program. I learn a lot. I gained more confident. I can talk to people and listen to solve their problems (not listen to reply).
